Training

Preparing the Garden

We want to plant and grow the seeds of a future performance ensemble, so we call this pilot training project Preparing the Garden. We created The Garden specifically for people with a disability and a serious career interest in the performing arts.

Twenty-two people auditioned in February 2009, and we accepted ten into the 18-month program. The five men and five women are Abner Bradley, Rachel High, Mel Kelly, Kyra Kimpton, Duncan Luke, Kym Mackenzie, Ad'm Martin, Donna Schliwa, Matt Shilcock, Kelly Vincent.

Flowers and fruits of the Garden will be on display in the second half of 2010 in a Stage One creative development showing of The Garden Show.
