Catherine Oates

Catherine is a professional freelance musician, composer and producer. She has toured nationally and internationally, performing at many large festivals and events.

In Adelaide, her performance and composition experience includes: State Theatre Company, Composition and Sound Design for: Memory of Water (2009), Female of the Species (2008), Ruby Moon (2008) Frozen (2006), Boston Marriage (2005). Patch Theatre Company: Composition, Foley, Sound Design and Performance for: Special Delivery (2006), Sharon Keep Ya Hair On (2003). Restless Dance Company: Composition, Sound Design and Performance for: Safe From Harm (2008), Continual Unfolding of Now (2006), Precious (1999). Vitalstatistix: Composition and Sound Design for: Checklist for an Armed Robber (2005) Love (2007). Zephyr String Quartet: Commissioned to compose a score for short film Unfed (2009). Kururru Indigenous Dance Company and Cirkidz: Composition, Sound Design and Performance of Soaring (2005). Adelaide Symphony Orchestra: Casual Rank and File Percussion, 1992-1994. Fruit: founding member, 1997-2003.

In 2010, she is Sound Designer for Steak n' Chelsea (working title) with No Strings Attached.
